This little thing does the job. It winds up strings with less effort, and it also has a bridge pin remover notch on the handle. Not much to say about a simple thing like this when it just does what it's supposed to without complaints.
But as an amusing anecdote:
Whenever I'm changing strings with a winder I feel like I don't really need it - it seems like I just need to turn the knobs a few turns and I could just as easily do that by hand, how hard can it be? Isn't it silly to lug around a dedicated gadget for such a mundane task?
But whenever I'm changing strings without a winder I just *loathe* the hard and thankless work of turning those knobs!
Same thing goes for pulling out bridge pins, having a tool for it really helps, simple as the job is.
