Basic, sturdy, great value

Needed a basic case for my Epi 335, primarily for storage and didn't want to spend a fortune for that. The case has everything I need for that purpose. It feels solid enough for transportation in a car or van. The ABS and metal surely makes me feel it will keep my instrument safe, more so than the standard plywood cases i usually use. All latches and hinges fits well, lid closes tightly. Interior has nice thick plush, and the installation is neat and nicely done.

A word of caution - since the edge is metal, you'll want to be careful when putting your instrument in it so you don't ding the finish of your guitar on the edge of the case.

Handling: It's kinda bulky but it's also the only ABS-case I own so I can't really compare. The handle is just hard plastic, it's solid enough to last but not the most comfortable to carry for longer distances.

All in all - It's not perfect but there is nothing that will hamper the functionality of the case, it will certianly keep your instrument safe. Super price as well!

Ett väldigt stabilt case.

Jag köpte detta case då jag fått en gammal Höfner Ambassador 1966 renoverad 2013.

Då gitarren spelar som en dröm började jag leta efter ett lämpligt case.
Gator har ett bra rykte och när jag hittade detta på thomann till ett bra pris slog jag till.

Caset är mycket välbyggt och har en väldigt snygg finish. Jag gillar den svarta plyschinredningen och facket under halsen är rymligt och allehanda gitarrattiraljer får ledigt plats där. Det går såklart att låsa med en nyckel som medföljer. Gångjärnen verkar stabila och kommer nog att hålla så länge jag kommer att använda detta case. Det väger inte alltför mycket heller, vilka många andra case till semiakustiska elgitarrer jag använt tidtgare haft en tendens att göra
Caset är djupt så om man nu ska anstränga sig att hitta en nackdel så är den att det tar lite stor plats.
För pengarna man betalar får du ett kanon-case!

Gator GC-335 Guitar ABS Case - for 335 type guitars.

I use it to carry my Sunburst Aria Pro II TA60 and its very happy in there. The inner space is reported to allow guitars with dimensions: body length: 571,5mm, body height: 114,3mm, lower bout width: 419,1mm, middle bout width: 279,4mm, upper bout width: 330,2mm, overall length: 1079,5mm. So you can also include single cut semiacoustics, 339 types as well as 335/355 types.

The ABS makes the case very sturdy, its the same material used for modern suitcases and they stand up to air travel so I guess it should be suitable as a flight case. For cushioning inside there is EPS foam and a deep plush lining protects the guitar from scratches. At this price it is definitely worthwhile buying this than a slightly cheaper gigbag for protecting those fragile semiacoustics!

It includes an accessory compartment and chrome plated lockable latches for security. It's a little heavy at 5,21Kg, but that is to be expected for its size which is: 1195,1mm, exterior width: thomann 482,6mm, exterior height: 205,0mm.

If you value your semiacoustic, for either transport or storage, this is a great quality product and a very competitive price.
