Unreliable and painful to clean up

They worked for my 30x30 cm foam panels when mounted on the ceiling, even though it's not recommended in the instructions, but most of my panels and foam "bass trap" just ended up falling down when mounted to walls. The adhesive peels off of the strip, making it useless and in need of replacement. It's a total pain to then peel the adhesive off of the walls, leaving my thumbs so sore that I had to do it over multiple days when moving house.

I ended up having to nail most panels to the wall since they fell down over an over, even though I often used more strips than recommended. They're probably designed for very thin foam panels, so you should just save your money and get some real broadband absorbers instead.

It you still want to give these a try; 1 strip is cut into 4 pieces, so 1 strip is enough for 1 small panel.

Multiple uses but imperfect execution

I bought two packs of these to stick on 30x30 acoustic wedges and bass traps. My thought was that a good number (+6) would hold the bass trap in place, but none such luck. Even one or two lightweight panels have come off the walls.

It is a multi-use tool and works very well on solid, flat surfaces. Sadly, it lacks the robust and secure adhesion needed for textured walls, whether it's a fishbone pattern or anything else. The velcro itself is securely fastened. It's just the adhesive sides that won't do the job.

Make sure you clean the mounting surface before applying this strip. Any dust or grime will undoubtedly hamper performance.

Try this out if you wish to have a temporary and perhaps portable solution with lightweight material, such as smaller foam panels. Not recommended for anything heavier.

Only for very light material

Bought these for use with EQ Acoustics smallest acoustic foam pads, plus diffusers and home made bass traps.

For the foam pads they are ok, since they are very light. Anything even remotely heavier will fall off the walls. Thomann recommends these with the diffusers also - and they don't hold up (had to use extra glue plus nails).
Home made corner traps are not much heavier than the foam pads, but they also fall off the walls without extra glue.

It's a nice idea with the strips, but the glue is too weak. Handling and placement was easy though.

If you are gonna use it only with super light material they are ok. But feels too expensive for what you get.

I cut them into 4 pieces each and then used one "pair" on each EQ Acoustic tile. In the manual they recommend 4 pieces for each tile, I don't think it's really necessary.

They work really good, and are simple to use.
