Crisp new tone
New strings have a, what I would call, fresh and brite tone.
That does fade quite fast though as the strings age, faster than most maybe.
I don't think new strings always sounds the best, old dirty strings might ring less but they got a lot more mellow sound (because of all that dirt maybe) - cleaning your strings instead of changing them all the time might be a better option at times.
I will buy these occasionally to change my sound.
