Perfect for recording in Studio one

The 1810c it's a very suitable audio interface for recording, good fidelity with recording . It's true that when I bought it, I had the expectation for DC coupled control with Ableton 10 live CV tools. I got disappointed trying endless times to route the outputs to my Eurorack, with the hope for having control with CV, sending Cv,lfo,triggers etc...I noticed that actually you will have at the master a sound buzz equivalent to 2.3 volts in the master as we'll while routing Cv tools with Ableton. Another thing, you can't send separate channel's to the headphones only! I rate a good rating of 4 stars for the Studio 1810c for what it does. Working in Presonus Studio Artis was actually very smooth and nice, The recording hub inputs are good quality. Comparing price and features, are many different products that are standing out there that yo ca spend 250 euro more and you get slated Dc Coupled and listening chosen separate channel in the headphones wile listening another mix in the master. Anyway! I enjoy-it that it is!

Don't buy it if you use any outboard gear

I bought this card for its four line outputs. I use a lot of outboard gear when I record, and being able to send a few channels to my external gear via the line outs is crucial to me. This has never been a problem with any of the previous sound cards I own but with the Presonus Studio 1810c it's impossible.

It turns out that no matter what DAW you use, and no matter how you set up each channel's output setting, the Presonus Studio 1810c will always send all your project's channels to every output at all times. This makes using outboard gear for processing of individual channels impossible.

I've contacted presonus support about this issue many times but they have not been able to come up with a workable solution. In fact, presonus support don't seem to care about their customers at all.

If you don't use any of the outputs then I guess the Presonus Studio 1810c is ok.

Comment from thomann: To address the individual outputs you can simply Bypass the Universal Control mixer. Other complex routing can be achieved with Universal Control, information on this is available in the manual.

1A Interface.

Ich bin von einem Focusrite Interface auf das hier umgestiegen und war einfach nur begeistert. Overall einfach ein "Upgrade" in jeglicher Hinsicht.
Ich finde die Control Software sehr gut, bietet einen sehr guten Überblick über alle In und Outputs.

Das einzige was mir bis jetzt Negativ aufgefallen ist wäre eine leichte Distortion beim ersten Mic Pre. Dies passiert aber wirklich nur wenn man den Gain komplett bis zum Anschlag aufdreht und auch dann ist es nicht zu hören sondern nur in der Software (Izotope Insight 2) zu sehen.

Overall: Kann jedem dieses Interface empfehlen! Genügend Ein und Ausgänge, Virtuelle und Interne Hardware Loopback Funktion und 1A sound! Jederzeit wieder.

Ett väldigt kapabelt audio-interface. Det låter rent och bra och har ett väldigt bra UI. Enda nackdelen (som det delar med många andra USB diton) är latensen och att det kräver en ganska rejäl "buffer" för att inte knäppa och knastra. Jag använder denna primärt som en premixer mot min gamla E-mu 0404-pci via s/pdif och som sådan så är den perfekt (5-7msec latens via detta stenålderskort). Inser förstås att 0404 inte går att hålla vid liv för evigt så till sist lär jag få krypa till korset och acceptera högre latens.

Men bortsett ifrån allt detta så är det ett hyggligt bra audio-interface.
