Handy all rounder mini amp
MihaiM 16.11.2018
I am using this amp at home, mostly as a pedal platform, using the clean channel. I am playing it mostly through its XLR speaker emulated output.

Sound: I don't own a Fender or a Mesa, just, as far as I can tell from listening to other's recordings:
- the Mojo Diamond clean channel really nails the Fender sound, as long as it is not overdriven. It has a large headroom and this is normally no issue. When overdriven, that solid-state distortion buzz occurs.
- the Heart Attack hi-gain channel is quite differently voiced than the clean (Mojo) - way darker and mid-emphasized. Perhaps this is how the Rectifier actually sounds, just this is so mid-heavy that, even with extreme EQ settings, one hardly can obtain a truly scooped sound a la death metal.
- the boost function works wonderfully! It really increases the gain but also the volume a bit. Unlike other (tube) amps with boost I own(ed), the attack is increased and the distortion stays tight. Since the boost is adjustable, one can choose the right amount for their sound.
- the EQ controls are very sensitive. Extreme settings can be obtained.
- the reverb is nice just very long, deep.

Overall, the two channels offer a choice between clean and high gain, with not much in between: to obtain a good breakup and light overdrive, pedals would be the way to go. For one, this is exactly what I was needing.

The builtin cab simulation sounds good to me. It is quite clean and does not emphasize particular frequencies too much. It can be turned off, which is a great function.

The direct output (XLR / line-out) volume is a bit too high for my setup, particularly on the clean channel. I need to turn the channel output volume down and the input gain of my soundcard or mixer down quite a bit.

The build quality is quite good, just not jaw-dropping sturdy; it should be handled with care. The slits on the top would easily let liquids or particles inside. The print on the jack panel is light gray on aluminum - barely visible unless well lit.

OUTSTANDING value for money! LOWEST noise ever!
JorisV 11.06.2021
Like with all amps and preamps I need an additional EQ (or two) but then the clean sound of this little amp is VERY good (about as good as several other TUBE preamps/amps and far best of all of the dozens of none-tube preamps/amps I ever used and had). In contrast with many other recent class-D amps, this one does not need/have a cooling fan (and no cooling fan noise, at all). Crunch sounds are less convincing. Lead sounds can sing well, but rather narrow range of sounds. Reverb is quite fine for a built-in one (but, of course, most external reverb units mostly are far better). For what I mostly need (clean, noise-free, just a hint of reverb) it is VERY GOOD. Really, jazz players do not need more than this unit and an additional EQ (I use MXR)... oh, yes, and maybe also a guitar and speaker cabinet (closed back, please).

Great pedal amp
glovrec 14.06.2021
I bought Mojo Attack because I got tired of carrying around a heavy amp and I didn't want to spend too much money for a preamp/modeler. I have to say that in general, I am very satisfied with the purchase. Here are the pros and cons ...

PROS:
- Great size for a decent sized pedalboard
- Good build quality
- Lots of great features (two channels, boost, reverb, fx loop, line and direct output, cab simulation)
- Good sounding cab simulation

CONS:
- The EQ is a bit weird. The knobs can feel somewhat unresponsive, so be prepared to spend some time finding the sweet spot.
- Reverb is ok, not really great
- Direct output has pretty high gain, meaning it can easily clip the interface or DAW

In general, I think this is a great pedal amp. Definitely worth the buy, if you're looking for easy-to-use, feature packed preamp.

One trick pony

It has a very nice clean channel and reverb. Distortion is tight, but very dark sounding, you have to dime treble to make it sound good. It has enough gain, but its never fizzy like on many solid state amps (it emulates tube amp).

I used it with 1x12 cabinet loaded with eminence swamp thang and it's super loud. Enough power to play with a drummer. It looks very nice, it's light and all the switches have nice weight (feels very well made).

+build quality
+tube-like sound
+loud
+small size and low weight

-limited tone options
