Good beginners guitar
Nyli 18.02.2014
I purchased this guitar for my younger nephew who has been playing for about 2 years. I did a test of the guitar before i gave it to him..This is what i found....

On first inspection the guitar looks pretty good out of the box. It has a plastic bridge, laminated spruce top, plastic pins, chrome tuners and ebony fretboard. Large single cut-away on the guitar and Fishman electro acoustic panel and pickups. It came with a gig bag, tools and it may have come with a cable too.

The tone of the guitar is quite full and pretty warm. I changed the strings to some Martins as i prefer those, but the factory ones were fine. I used through a p.a, and i found this to be it's best ampiflication mode. Through a small amp it sounded thin, tinny, and scratchy, but all electro acoustics do in my opinion, not just this one.

The action was okay. I found that as an experienced player i could get around the guitar without too much hassle.
The finish of the guitar was okay. Some money saved with plastic pins, and bridge, but I cannot remember anything bad, or out of the ordinary concerning this guitar.....

I would say if you're a pro, semi pro, or pretty experinced you won't be looking at buying this guitar, as we know it won't meet our needs. Like a lot of things in life you get what you pay for. But as a learner, or someone pretty new to the game a guitar like this could be right up their street. You have to research, try some out in shops, and then take a chance on something....That's life.......

At time of writing the guitar is £80 United Kingdom Sterling. I think that's not bad value, a kid could learn whilst using it, take it to school, practices etc......And an adult beginner could start with something like this also.........

Good acoustic, but slight problem with the mic
Chronos 27.09.2013
I bought this guitar mainly for playing at parties, where I'm not afraid to lend to other drunk friends so they can sing a few songs.

Features:
This guitar has a tuner built into it, which is a nice touch for such a cheap guitar. It can be plugged into a desk or amp and has a built in EQ to help fix the sound.

Sound:
This guitar is good for busking. Acoustically, it sounds decent and quite loud for the price. The biggest problem is it's mic, which picks up the higher strings a lot louder than the lower E and A strings, which makes it quite useless for gigging with when you need to do some solos on it.

Quality:
It has a good black finish to it, and definitely looks the part. The tuners are decent too, smooth with no hiccups in the turning mechanism.

For the price it's a good guitar. If you are playing for bigger stages and want to sound your best, I would look elsewhere, but for small parties and general practice this guitar is very nice.

Good Intro Model @ decent price
Anonim 14.07.2016
This was my first buy from an online shop - worked very well and price was great - thanks Thomann.
The Squier is a great beginner's guitar and great for around the house practicing. Works well at small venues - Birthday & other parties /campfire/outdoors and just for fun. Easy to use, but keeping it in tune when going beyond strumming started to be a challenge - ie with bending. The embedded tuner was also not so elegant, but for a beginner works well. I would not recommend relying totally on that as it is many times not 100% accurate.
For the price a great sound, and looks nice - except the Fretboard started to wear badly after 6 months, but for around the house optics are not important - I've never worried about it getting damaged at that price...I'm very happy with the Guitar as it has helped me move beyond Intermediate playing and aside from the need to re-tune more often it served the purpose.
In sum - for beginners a great guitar that you can hold onto for 'informal' events as you progress.

Acceptable(no more than that) quality for good price

Sound for unplugged & plugged in is quite good. But build quality for neck, fretboard is below average.
Required quite some adjustments before could be played.
