I am so happy that we in a band decided to invest and by Yamaha MG 16.
The ratio of price and what you get is more than favorable.

This mixer has 16 channels which is more than enough to plug all the microphones for the band.
We use it for drums, bass and guitar amps, two vocals and click tracks and sound loops.
The mixer also has a compressor and 10 microphone inputs with preamps which makes it as a real small studio.

In the band we decided to try to record a few songs using this mixer, and I can not describe how satisfied we were. I'll just tell you that we decided not to rent a studio any more :)

Our band has four members, and this mixer has four aux for all channels which allowed us to have a different mix for each band member in-ear monitor and we love that so much that now we don't use in-ear monitors for live gigs only, but also for our rehearsals.
The feeling in rehearsals is now as if we were playing our music in the studio, and I sincerely hope that our equipment will last a long time because if something goes wrong, it would be very hard to go back to the old way.
Also, the mixer is very well-built, knobs, controls and faders are well made, and mixer itself does not take much of space. Sooooo satisfied!!!! :)

ACHTUNG mit PRE und POST bei den Auxwegen!

Das Mischpult ist vom Klang und der Verarbeitung her sehr gut! Ich habe es jetzt erst seit ein paar Tagen, aber ich musste schon mal eine Bewertung loswerden bevor jemand von falschen Tatsachen ausgeht, wie ich es tat!

Meine Kaufentscheidung fiel aufgrund der 4 Auxwege auf jedem Kanal. Wir sind 4 Musiker in der Band und so bekommt jeder seinen eigenen Mix aufs Ohr, was gerade im Proberaum, aber auch Live ein Segen ist.

Jedoch kam dann beim Ausprobieren die Ernüchterung. Von den 4 Auxwegen sind ganze 2 Auxwege POST Auxwege. Also abhängig vom Fader! Für unseren Anwendungsfall ist das nicht ganz so kritisch, da man über einen Knopf pro Kanal das Signal zur Stereosumme schickt und dieses für die Kanäle, die nur fürs in Ear gedacht sind, einfach aus lassen kann. Jedoch ist man bei den beiden Auxwegen dann doch beschränkt, da man bei verstellen des Faders ja auch die Lautstärke auf den zwei Auxwegen verändert!

Ganz schlimm allerdings ist, dass es weder hier bei Thomann noch im Handbuch(!) steht, dass die Auxwege so geschaltet sind! Im Handbuch steht sogar, dass die ersten 3 Auxwege PRE sind (wahrscheinlich weil es ein Handbuch für eine Familie von Pulten ist und nicht explizit für dieses).

Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass man zumindest mittels Schalter selbst entscheiden kann wie man die Auxwege fahren möchte, aber das sah Yamaha dann wohl doch etwas anders.

Hier noch einmal eine kurze Übersicht über die Auxwege:
AUX1 -> PRE
AUX2 -> POST (aber auf PRE umschaltbar)
AUX3 -> POST
AUX4 -> POST

Ansonsten sollte man auch auf die Tatsache achten, dass das Pult sehr lang ist! In mein kleines Thon Winkelrack passt es zwar rein, lässt sich dann aber nicht mehr anschließen, da das Stromkabel nach hinten raus geht. Also auf die Maße achten und ggf. ein neues Case ordern!

Ansonsten habe ich aber keine Probleme mit dem Pult gehabt und kann es Preis Leistungsmäßig nur empfehlen!

Un très bon rapport qualité prix

Voila une très bonne table avec nombre d'entrées à un prix très serré.
Utilisé comme régie compacte en prestations évenementielle, cette table, a toujours tenu ses promesses, avec un très bon son en sortie
Le seul reproche est l'alimentation phantom qui sort sur toutes les pistes xlr lorsque l'option est activée.
Pour le reste la table est fournie avec les adaptateurs en rack ( attention aux dimensions, elle prend de la place dans votre rack !!)

Mesa ideal para ensayos en local o conciertos de grupos no excesivamente grandes (puesto que 16 canales se acaban ocupando fácilmente). Fácil de utilizar. Lo único es que se acaba echando en falta el módulo de efectos y que para transportarla te tienes que hacer con una buena funda rígida.
