Truetone V3 Jekyll & Hyde

I use this pedal as if it was a three channel "amp" with integrated footswitches.
It?s easy to swap between the two channels (just hit both f.s. at the same time and one goes off and the other goes on) and you can also stack them in two diferent ways (OD>Dist or Dist>OD).
Both Channels can go from bright/dark clean to fully saturated gain stages wich you can teak to taste and in lots of diferent ways and tones. You can check out the other reviews and the TrueTone website to learn all it`s features and overall usage possibilities.

These two fellows can play in almost any musical genre although, i wouldn?t recomend it if you were interested in it just as an ALL Metal gain pedal.

I have been playing with it for an year now and it?s right at the core of my sound. The small switches and overall EQ provide very rich and diferente tones: warm, bright, pristine or fat cleans, mild overdrive, sligtly breaking up drive tones, all that bluesy blues, rock , hard rock, high gain, scooped mids , mid boost, treble boost, harmonics, alternative crunch,gain and almost Fuzz tones....

Knobs and switches are very nice, sturdy enclosure, small footprint (bear in mind that this is a two pedals in one ), bright blue leds.
Those who seek one small pedal with tons of tones that can provide a wide range of sonic possibilities must check out this pedal.

This is the first Truetone product I have ever used, and I must say that I am trully impressed.
Let's start with the tone. The pedal has two sides, overdrive/distortion. I bought this pedal primarily for distortion, but I must admit that I was also blown away by the overdive side. It produces an awesome range of tones suitable for anything from country to (very) hard rock. With the drive all the way down, it becomes a wonderfull fat, punchy and twangy boost that takes you all the way to Nashville territory. It is so good that it has removed the Way Huge Pork Loin from my board. Add a little bit of drive and you have nailed the perfect Lynyrd Skynyrd tone. There is also a "clean mix" knob that blends the drive with the clean (boosted) signal, which opens up a whole world of excellent additional tonal options. It really is one of the best overdrives I have ever used, both with single coils and humbuckers.
The "Hyde" side is a true distortion circuit. It can get very loud and very dirty, without sounding either shrill or too fuzzy. Think Mesa Boogie dual rectifier to JCM800, depending on the setting. There are two switches altering the brightness and shape of the tone, as well as two knobs controlling bass and mids. The latter can have a dramatic effect on the sound.
The two sides can work either independently or combined, for maximum gain and harmonics. What is remarkable is how relatively quiet the pedal is even at that setting. There is an internal noise gate which is on by default and apparently does a good job, as it reduces noise without sucking the tone. I haven't tampered with it at all, neither am I planning to as it works fine as it is.
Overall, I am very happy with this pedal. If I had to give away all my drive pedals but one, I would probably keep this one, as it provides a rare combination of flexibility and tonal quality.

This is actually two pedals in one with two separate channels, one for overdrive and one for distortion. It's an excellent, very quiet and very versatile pedal and I'm planning to use it in my new pedalboard with the new Boss MS-3. It can be used in many different ways but I personally like to use the overdrive channel as a clean boost which I have permanently on and the distortion channel for crunch/lead sounds.

This is my favourite effects pedal. With its two sides(the left side of the pedal is overdrive, the right side is distortion) this pedal offers great variety of sound. I mainly use the overdrive side of the pedal which offers a great overdriven, fuzzy sound. I then use the right hand side (distortion) to give me an extra boost so i can really shred. The only downfall with this pedal is that the knobs are quite sensitive, so if you hit off them at all you're likely to knock on the effect! Apart from that though I'd really recommend this pedal, it's well built, its versatile and most importantly it sounds great!
