Die Sabian Chopper Disc`s einfach nur als "Fahrradschutzbleche" abzustemplen, wäre den Scheiben wirklich nicht gerecht. Ich besitze sowohl die 10" wie auch die hier besprochene 8" Chopper und kann ein Antesten nur empfehlen. Gerade die 8" Ausführung ist eine echt spritzige Alternative zur Hihat (kurz und zischig) und auch als Akzent oder Effekt (mit etwas reverb) sehr gut geeignet. Noch hinzu kommt, dass der Filz der Beckenbefestigung, je nachdem wie stark dieser festgedreht wird, den Sound beeinflusst.

Fazit: SELBER antesten und dann urteilen !

Neben der Platzersparnis ist vor allem der chrispe helle Sound eine echte Bereicherung in meinem Beckenset. Ich verwende es wie bereits erwähnt vor allem als Soundalternative zur HiHat.
