no two cows are exactly the same (unless genetically-modified, i suppose).

i already own this exact model of Richter strap in black, and wanted a brown one for those instruments that might make this a better color-match.

this brown one here is totally different than my black other one.
the tanning process on the leather of its backside hasn't left it as supple, gripping, and with the same oily-feeling.
bottom line, this is a tad more slippery than the other, and a tad more slippery that i expected it to be. it means, it won't cure "neck-heavy" instruments like my other black one does.

quality of materials, care in stitching, the very stitching thread itself... it's all of the highest quality, with a design that allows the widest range of adaptation to different length's needs... as you've come to expect from Richter, no less – there are cheaper ones, of course, and you always get what you pay for with them.

just be forewarned, in case you wonder: as no two cows are exactly the same, you'll never get exactly the same leather strap twice – and the fact that i would have wanted a more gripping one again is a fact for which neither Richter, nor Thomann, can be held responsible.

maybe there is a more gripping strap in brown out there, as maybe there is a black one that's less gripping than my own... this brown one here feels more like the premium leather seats of a Mercedes-Benz of the past, onto which you weightlessy slide in and out (rather than staying put with that "velcro" effect), which isn't always what you want for a hollow-body bass!
