Great sound - Disappointing Shell Hardware

First of all i would like to say that, like all the pearl drum kits, this kit sounds amazing. Loud punch and clear. Perfect for rock situations. Other than that i am really disappointed by the quality of the shell hardware on the crystal beat. They could use the superhoop 2 hoops on all toms. The lugs are low quality and remind me of lugs used on really cheap drum sets. Another disappointing thing about pearl for me is that they don't offer tom holders in the package. They do it on all their hi-end sets but it is a minimal cost for them so they could easily offer it.

Ich hatte mir dieses Set als neues Liveset bestellt.
Es wurde aber auch schon eine Woche lang im Studio eingesetzt. Den Klang würde ich als etwas speziell und dennoch Rocktypisch bezeichnen.

Die Trommeln haben einen mächtigen Attack und großen Bassanteil. Mitten sind meiner Meinung nach weniger präsent. Sie schwingen auch generell weniger nach als Holzkessel.
Also kurz, knackig, punchig, tief und böse :)

Positiv ist hervorzuheben, das die Kessel ohne jegliche Mängel wie aus einem Guss erscheinen. Sie sind einfach zu stimmen und auch optisch sind Sie ein echter Hingucker.

Was mir weniger gefallen hat war die Qualität der Spannreifen. Pearl liefert hier keine Superhoops mit, sondern leichtere und weniger gut verarbeitete( schlecht entgratet)
Auch die Spannschrauben sind mit Metallscheiben unterlegt, habe sie durch Kunststoffscheiben ausgetauscht.

Alles in allem aber ein super Acrylset zu einem unschlagbarem Preis!

Una batería brutal, un sonido muy potente y definido, perfecto para estilos fuertes como rock, funk etc... No la recomiendo tanto para swing o jazz por su sonido bruto y potente. Además de un complemento muy llamativo para los conciertos, sobre todo si, como yo, le añades el sistema drumlite, de iluminación por leds.

Si tengo que ponerle alguna pega es que pesa notablemente más que la madera, y que es difícil de afinar al principio debido al lubricante de los tornillos, que hace que estén moviéndose constantemente y hay que estar ajustándola antes de cada toque un poco. Las bellotas donde van las patas de los toms de suelo se rajan y rompen apretándolas y puedes hacerte un corte importante.

J'ai tout d'abord décidé d'acheter cette Pearl Crystal Beat pour son look, car je l'utilise exclusivement dans ma salle de musique qui se trouve chez moi, et j'ai été agréablement surprit par sa sonorité, très facile et rapide à régler, je n'ai même pas dû chercher à changer les peaux d'origine. Je possède déjà une Pearl Master Custom et une DW Lacquer Spec. VLT que j'utilise en studio et en tournée avec les groupes dans lesquels je joue, je ne sais pas si je voudrais la prendre en tournée, mais en studio elle pourrait faire le job au niveau des toms, petit bémol pour la grosse caisse qui manquerait sans doute de profondeur
