This drum arrived quickly and the tracking information was excellent.On first receiving the drum I was initially impressed with it's look,even though it was not polished up.It did look a bit dirty.It is quite a heavy drum.It does not come tuned,so I began to tune it up.I started tuning the snare-side head.Unfortunately I only got a couple of turns on each lug before the head pulled out of it's hoop.Disappointed,I removed it and replaced it and also the batter head as this did not seem to be of good quality either..They are really not good quality and should not be provided if they can't do the job intended.On the removal of the triple-flanged rims I noticed very rough edges under the holes for the tuning nut.As though the manufacturing hadn't been completed.I filed them down.I then cleaned and polished the shell and oiled the inner threads on the lugs.The shell buffed up nicely.I replaced the heads them with Remo heads and tuned the drum up.It is not the easiest drum to tune,but after some time I got a really great,and surprisingly loud,sound from the drum.I will replace the rims with Die-cast ones in the future.

Great snare, missing parts.

Great sounding snare for the price. Missing 2 bolts. Lucky I had spares so it wasn't much of a deal.

Chuck a Remo CS-1 head on it and a moon gel, tune it up high and you've got yourself an amazing snare drum sound. Really nice snare drum at a great price!

With an investment in new heads, snare wires and maybe a snare mechanism you get awesome brass sound for a lot less money (all in total).
