Maton EM100C Messiah

I have had this beauty for 6 months now and I have been playing it acoustically as well as plugged in during live gigs with my band. I was looking for one high quality electro-acoustic guitar for several months already and I was not looking actually this guitar in a first place. I contacted Thomann customer centre to ask their opinion about another brand and I just can not find enough good words how professional and fast they always are in order to help you out, recommend etc. This beauty was introduced to me by the customer centre. It was way out of my budget but still I read some reviews that I found on internet. Thomann also sent me some pictures of my new guitar and I wanted to buy it immediately. Decision was made and it was shipped really fast. My beauty arrived within a week and when I opened this amazing hardcase it comes with I was blown away how beautiful it really is. Very nice outside build finish and craftmanship. The action of the strings was quite good out of the box but after some months I handed it over to specialist who lowered the action and now it is just superb. The feel, the playability is just amazing, I love it ! It sounds really, really good. Amazing sound I would say although it is not as loud as my previous guitar unplugged. When you plug it in it just sings in your hands, amazing pickup that Maton creates by themselves. The battery lasts also quite a while in the pickup. I have also Maton feedback buster cover but I never needed it as I have not yet experienced any issues with feedback. I took one star away from the quality because of inside build finish of the instrument. In this price range it should be absolutely flawless in my opinion also from inside and masterpiece like Maton states on their web page but there is quite some excess glue sticking out between lining in many places and I was quite surprised when I saw it, in even much cheaper acoustic guitars the inside build finish is better. I took pictures and sent to Maton, they replied to me that they will pay more attention to inside build finish in the future. Do not worry at all, It does not affect the sound and overall quality of the instrument and it does not bother me anymore. If you are looking for on solid wood masterpiece, then this is it. It surely is an Investment for a life !

Hallo, ich habe mir diese Gitarre nach langem Sparen gekauft. Der Wunsch nach einer Profigitarre war schon immer recht groß. Marken wie Gibson, Takamine oder Taylor waren bei diesem Wunsch immer prägnant.
Letzten Endes von der Musik von Tommy Emmanuel inspiriert wurde bei Thomann auch Maton angespielt. Im direkten Vergleich zu Lakewood, Taylor und Gibson könnten die Maton Produkte mich überzeugen.
Der Klang ist ohne Frage bei all den angespielten Marken der Hammer. Allerdings gab es bei den Maton Produkten noch ein gewisses Etwas, das die Gitarre zu etwas Besonderem gemacht hat.

Klang:
druckvoller Bass mit ausgewogenen Mitten und klaren Höhen. Im Vergleich zu Lakewood Gitarren war für mich lediglich der Bass das Kaufargument. Ohne Verstärkung macht die Gitarre eine gute Figur. Angeschlossen an einen Amp sind natürlich noch viele andere Klangwelten zu erreichen, vor allem durch das gut verarbeitete Tonabnehmersystem.

Optik:
Schlichte typische Westerngitarre die trotzdem besonders aussieht. Tolle Goldmechaniken und angenehmer Lack. Leider teilweise minimale Staubkörner im Lack die für den Preis nicht sein dürften darum nur 4 Sterne.

Bespielbarkeit:
für 44mm Sattelbreite und dickere Saiten außerordentlich leicht zu bespielen. Barree Griffe gelingen mit fast so geringem Kraftaufwand wie bei einer E Gitarre. Genau wie ich es von einer solchen Gitarre erwartet habe und mir gewünscht habe.

Preis:
für den Klang und die ausgewählten Hölzer eventuell etwas zu hoch. Aber der individuelle Wert rechtfertigt das ganze für mich dann doch.
Die Gitarre passt einfach zu mir wie keine Andere. Ich habe mich beim Kauf schwer getan ob es sich lohnt mehr auszugeben als für eine vergleichbare Lakewood und ja es lohnt sich.

Fazit:
Testen und mit anderen Modellen vergleichen und dann Kaufen wenn man möchte..
Der Riss im Geldbeutel ist bald vergessen.

Cette guitare est une pure merveille, pour moi c'est la qualité du son qui prime sur le reste. Dès que l'instrument est branché sur l'ampli, on peut affiner le son à sa convenance. Que l'on joue au médiator ou en picking les micros permettent d'obtenir le son recherché avec un parfait équilibre entre les basses, médium et aigus. Tout à fait ce que je recherchais, merci à toute l'équipe Thomann pour le sérieux dans le traitement et l'envoi de ma commande.

Diese Gitarre ist jeden Cent wert - der Sound klingt fantastisch - wer einmal eine Maton Messiah in Händen hatte, wird sie Zeit seines Lebens lieben!
Die Verarbeitung ist super und der Tonabnehmer vom Feinsten! Die Studioaufnahmen sind großartig geworden!

Ich habe einige Modelle aus dieser Preisklasse angespielt und mir wirklich viel Zeit für eine Entscheidung genommen - keine andere Gitarre hat mich mehr überzeugt! Mit dieser Maton erlebt man Klangdimensionen der Superlative!
