Not bad - could still be improved

I bought this snare to accomodate deep 7-8" snare drums as it has the capacity to lower the central post to the ground, but the basket still does not go very low - my pearl stand is better! The bits which are rubber on my Pearl are rather plastic, still not bad! Quite expensive, but it does have retractable spikes! Over time I have found that the basket moves around and won’t lock in place.

Probably one of the best

I have it for few weeks only, so I cannot tell anything about its long term durability.
But, I can tell you that this is a very well done snare stand with smooth regulation and cool features. Height is regulated in 2 places (moveable legs section and basket pipe). I did not measure it, but for my sitting position I can go as low to accomodate 6,5" snare (it would go lower easily) and I can go high enough to use 5" (before I had Gibraltar 9706 Pro Ultra and it was too low for 5" deep snare, with Mapex I can still go up). I am heavy hitter and this stand stays in place... if it doesn't for you, no worries, there are spikes hidden in legs that you can deploy for extra grip. Omni-ball basket regulation works very well and handle solution is very comfortable. Reasonably priced, great regulation scope, great features - I am very happy with it.

Excellent stand

I own two of these, one on my ‘live’ kit and one at home for practicing. They are very solid, stable stands and very adjustable with the ball and socket joint.
