A huge dissapointment.

I used to play with GHS Boomers back in the 1990's and decided to order some with the idea of reminiscing, What a disappointment they were!
Dull sound, weird to the touch (grainy?!), and lost all the little brightness they have after 5 or 6 hours of playing. By far the worst strings I had on my Vintera Strat.
I'm not sure if they were always this bad as the 90's were 30 years ago, but with D'addario and Ernie Ball on the market (and my favourite coated elixir), I can't see any point in buying GHS Boomers.

They sound fine and standard, but I have been playing with these for 2 weeks now and it makes my fingers black every time. I don't know what coating is in it but it's not good.
Also if you care about sustainability, the packaging is plastic and each string comes individually wrapped in plastic, so not great.
I wouldn't buy this again that's for sure.

Long lasting easy playing strings.

I tried different strings on my HB telecaster but this ones are now after 2 months use still as new. They stay in tune and play easy.
I will not look for the first time to other brands anymore and order more GHS strings to try.
