Innovative and unique wah pedal

I discovered the Wowee Wah whilst searching for a true-bypass wah that I could use in line with my fuzz pedals. A true-bypass wah doesn't change the impedence which is very important when using fuzz pedals.

Not only is the Wowee Wah true-bypass, but it also has many unique features:

• Adjustable bass, depth and q-factor
• 3db volume boost
• can be switched on and off in the traditional way, or via touch-sensitive operation
• battery or 9v powered

Personally I have it set up so that it's touch-sensitive. This works great for me, as soon as I put my foot on it it becomes active.

I really like the extra options, especially the bass and depth which make it sound less thin.

This wah sounds very good overall, very usable in all situations such as funk rhythm or rock leads. Compared to a standard wah I would say it sounds slightly thinner and more artificial... but still very good.

Build quality is excellent. G-Lab have obviously spent a lot of time developing it, it's very robust and well engineered. There is a screw to adjust the tension, which to be honest doesn't make much difference, it would be nice to have more adjustment here.

Very well built wah pedal with many options

Great Wah quality made in Poland. Built like a tank with very nice stainless steel body.

Many options, very handy touch to enable feature.

Bestes Wah-Pedal für mich

Ich habe vorher ein gängiges Crybaby gespielt. Ich habe dem G-Lab Wowee-Wah eine Chance gegeben, ob wohl ich vom martialischen Äußeren erst abgeschreckt war. Es hat sich für mich aber als das ultimative WahWah herausgestellt.

True-bypass, die Anpassungsmöglichkeiten an verschiedenste Sound-Vorstellungen (Wie tief geht es in den Bass-Bereich? Wie stark ist die Resonanz? Hebt es die Lautstärke an oder nicht? - Alles mit einzelnen Schaltern auch auf der Bühne umschaltbar) und vor allem die automatische Aktivierung durch die Fußberührung macht es für mich zum besten WahWah, dass ich je unter die Füße bekommen habe! Wenn man die automatische Aktivierung nicht wünscht, kann man sogar das ausstellen und das Wah wie ein konventionelles Crybaby über Durchdrücken der Fußspitze ein und aus schalten.

Wenn man sich für die automatische Aktivierung entscheidet, hat es gegenüber der Morley's noch den Vorteil, das eine dauerhafte Stellung in Hackenposition das WahWah nicht ausschaltet, sondern wirklich erst, wenn der Fuß vom Pedal runter ist.

Ich benutze das Wah-Pedal vor allem für Funk- und Soul-Songs und gerade für kleine kurze Fills ist die "Autotouch"-Funktion der Knaller.

Das Pedal ist recht schwer und sehr robust, was ich in dem Falle beides als Vorteil erachte.

Wenn man mir es klauen würde, würde ich mir sofort das selbe nochmal kaufen! Und nein, ich arbeite nicht bei G-Lab! ;)

G Lab Wowee-Wah oli valintani wah-pedaaliksi koska halusin pedaalin joka on true bypass. Tuote on todella tukevan oloinen ja painava, vie enemmän tilaa kuin esim crybaby. Yksi tärkeimmistä ominaisuuksista true bypassin lisäksi on pedaalin meneminen päälle vain sen päälle astumalla. Monien muitten wahien kytkimet ovat joskus hankalia polkaista päälle etenkin keikkatilanteessa. G labin wowee-wah on tässä mielessä ylivertainen. Kun haluan käyttää sitä astun vain sen päälle ja kun lopetan käytön se menee itsestään pois päältä. Jos soitettavassa kappaleessa on esim lyhyitä kohtia jolloin wahia tarvitsee tämä ominaisuus on todella hyvä. Pedaaliss ekvalisointiin liittyvät kaksiasentoiset kytkimet joilla saa leikattua bassoa tai yläpäätä. Soundiin pystyy vaikuttamaan todella paljon mutta se ei missään vaiheessa ole yhtä terävä kuin crybaby. Mielestäni tämä on hyvä asia koska etenkin mikitettynä wahi kuulostaa usein liian pistävältä. Wowee-wahin kanssa tätä ongelmaa ei ole. Jonkinlainen portaaton potikka-eq voisi tosin olla vielä parempi säätöön mutta muuten pedaali on wahien parhaimmistoa. Ollessaan pois päältä ei väritä soundia ollenkaan.
