Perfect for your Jazz bass
If you, like me, have a Jazz bass and wish it had a good ashtray cover to make it look superb then look no further.
This is simply perfect, it is utterly pristine in its shineyness (although can be roughed up a bit with sandpaper if you want a more worn look) and is such a doddle to install! Just put it in place over the bridge, mark where the screw holes are, use a suitable sized drillbit to make a pilot hole (place some masking tape over the body to avoid chipping the paint) and then screw the ashtray in place!
It really makes a difference to the look of the bass but you can also wedge some foam between the bridge and strings to dampen the sound - you could do this anyway by placing the foam between body and strings, but this hides the foam.

Great addition
I needed some covers for a bass I got recently and the only way to go was Fender original parts. Perfect fit and high quality finish. Very pleased with results.

Fender Ashtray at low price
An absolute bargain for 26 Euros. I wanted one of these to complete my Fender Jazz bass as I only had the pickup cover. I did try companies in the USA and Fender themselves but they wanted a lot more money for this and with a stupid postage cost of about £22. I bought this from my favorite music store, Thomann, of course, for 26 Euros plus free delivery as I included it in a small shopping list of just over 199 Euros so that meant free postage. Just goes to show.

Vintage Bridge Cover
Real Fender spare, promptly delivered.
Originally, the pickups on Jazz (and P) basses needed shielding- hence the cover, these days they are purely cosmetic, but imo they greatly add to the instruments looks. One word of caution- it wouldn't fit on my Modern Player bass because of the high mass bridge that these instruments come with, so be prepared to change the bridge (or file the existing one, if you have a destructive nature !)
I have a Squier Mustang Bass, and so I put it on there- looks absolutely great!
I'll be back for both a bridge and a bridge cover for my MP Jazz.

Chrome Goodness
Bought for my Fender American Jazz bass to add the vintage vibe that I love.
Fitted perfectly but just be aware of the pickup spacing on Jazz basses to make sure it will fit correctly as the 70's spacing it different.
Was some metal burrs on the underside where the screw holes had been drilled but nothing a bit of sandpaper didn't cure.
Looks great :-)

Lovely item but my mistake - it won't fit Harley Benton bass kit
I bought this to fit on the Harley Benton JB bass kit I built last year.
It doesn't fit - the body contour of the HB kit is not suitable for this item - my mistake.
The item itself is faultless - really with it would fit my JB kit would look great with this.

Fender Jazz
The chrome covers on my 1970's Jazz Bass had long worn through and gone rusty. I took them off and assumed that was that until I found the Thomann Spares section. Genuine Fender parts, what more can I say? Thanks, Guys!
