This doepfer module offers lots of functionality and has many uses.
With this module you get a VCLFO, VCA (switchable to voltage controlled polarizer) and a VC delay unit: voltage controlled linear attack envelope (only one parameter: attack) for delayed LFO operation in combination with the VCA.

I use it in audio and video modular patches, don't think there was any patch that I did not use it in.

The knobs are nice and stiff, so you can change values very slightly. Jack inputs are decent quality too.

A very interesting feature is that you can slow down the LFO period up to 3 hours or more by setting a jumper on the back (more info on the doepfer site). This is perfect for generative, experimental, drone music and generative video.

as usual great build and feature packed.... no stone left unturned in this module
great foor FM as a modulator and responds well to cv itself
more than just an LFO.. i love it and it has ( for me ) eneterd my hall of fame DEAD HANDS modules

Well engineered module

The Doepfer A-147-2 VDCLFO is the updated version of the A-147. Is a very well engineered module with plenty of features from VCLFO to VCA and the lovely VC delay unit for delayed LFO operation, which gives you interesting vibrato sounds once operated in combination with the VCA. Happy days!

My favorite LFO

I use this often as a voice source, I love the quality of the sound. From an LFO perspective there are a lot of options and a lot of outputs. Nice LED feedback too. The module is ridiculously stuffed with 2 other things it can do other than oscillate 4 kinds of waves at the same time. The user faceplate side of the thing is up to doepfer quality. The back side of my samples were full of dust and packing crud. The boards look sticky. I guess it's fine, just a cosmetic complaint. I have 3. I will buy more if start to run out of LFOs.
