Good pickup if you are looking for this vibe

I am quite happy with the EVO although I must say that it is not a full bodied pickup at all. It is very high mid focused, almost to the point of sounding like you are using a wah as a filter. It is great to cut through live if there is more that one guitar but in a trio setting I would go for a different pickup (JB maybe). It splits half decently although it sounds a little thin.
On the positive side it is a very clear pickup so complex chords will ring out nicely even with loads of distortion.

Der PU hat im Vergleich zum vorher verbauten SH4 deutlich mehr Druck, aber leider auch sehr sehr viel Höhen. Deutlích höhrbar ist das vor allem über das Engl-Vollröhren-Topteil. Beim Übungsam (ohne Röhren) kommt das nicht so deutlich raus.

Ich habe deshalb den Höhenregelung meiner Strat umlöten lassen. Der untere Höhenpoti ist nun ausschließlich für den Humbucker zuständig. Sind Zusatzkosten mit denen ich nicht gerechnet hatte. Eine Alternative ist wohl der Evolution II, der deutlich harmonischer (auch in den Höhen) klingen soll.

Micro céramique haut niveau de sorti, taillé pour les son moderne allant du rock au métal. Puissant et précis il ne pardonne pas les erreurs de jeux. N'essayer pas non plus le jazz ou le blues, sont domaine: les son modernes et saturés. Dans un ampli lampes il donnera tout son potentiel.
