This is a no frills, but a lot of "thrills", amplifier.

This 120 decibels at 1 meter amplifier, packs a punch and cuts through the mix at a live gig like a knife.

It's compact size and convenient 4.3 kilos, belies its ability to scare the heck out of the noisiest of performers.

The amp will not be what you expect - it certainly wasn't for me, despite reading all the blurb and listening to everything I could find on the net.

It is a centered sound as you might expect, tight yet rich in mids.
However add a boost pedal with EQ Bass/Treble, and the bass warms up beautifully, but not woolly. Shift the tone control beyond 12.00 o'clock and you begin to turn your Strat' into a Tele'. Ear plugs recommended at this stage!

I prefer to use this amp as clean as possible - and there's plenty of headroom for that, but open up the gain and it gets dirty. Not that I'm using the gain for that, as I prefer pedals - which it accepts really well.

The 'ambience' works well between 9.00 o'clock and 12.00 o'clock, giving a more open tonal feel to the cabinet. This is what it's supposed to do, which is emulate an open back amp. After 12.00 o'clock it changes the sound too much but before that it works really well.

Fantastic value for money, compact, simple to use, although if you like effects pedals, it's a direct-in situation. Headphones/line out socket with volume control, which is a nice touch, and Aux/CD line-in. Additional speaker out and internal speaker off switch. For me . . . it's all there!

Lunchbox? more like a good meal!

nice....But....

Gathered as much info before purchased one.First thing i noticed is build quality is very good.Well put together,doesnt feel like it would easily fall over.Sounds good once you get the hang of it.Nowadays for me, a big amp is impractible- too heavy so iv been using cube type amps, had a polytone for awhile.Idont play very loud but as i play lead and lapsteel i want a bit of volume.So this seemed ideal.Got the bag as well,all very well made and generaly pleased with my purchase.Iv not tried it through a big cab,or gigged it yet. To me its not as loud as is claimed in some reviews;Id say its on par with a small cube amp,more like 60w.Also got a pronouced earthing type buzz which is quite loud- it dissapears when you touch the strings.To sum-up,it is still a very portable,sturdy,amazing(for the size alone) little amp.
