Must Buy For Broadcasters
ImAndi 05.05.2015
Every device is made for a different type of person, sometimes you find yourself buying a product that got features you might not even use once. This is one of the few interfaces that feels like it fits right in with me. It will mix your inputs together into one stereo input for your DAW which might be a turnoff for some but I mostly work with VST and use analog synthesizers on occasion.

As a game-broadcaster this audio interface is a compact all in one buffet! The built in COMP/EQ is great for the mic as it saves onto the device even if you detatch it from your computer. USB audio loopback is great, making it easy to broadcast or record even when working with ASIO in your DAW although it is impossible to make it exclude certain programs like TeamSpeak or Skype, it just loops everything sent from the USB connection back to the AG06 Line. Using the AUX as a soundboard with a male-male mini jack cable to my phone and the sound quality is astonishing.

The only downside which isn't actually a problem would be the Headset part located in the center of the AG06. If anything is connected to it,it will override the Phones and the XLR Channel 1.

Other than that I see no reason not to buy this over the AG03 as you get several more features for not much extra money, but do take into consideration the ammount of inputs and outputs you actually need. It's easy spending more on unnecessary features while the AG06 has shown to be the most useful interface I've owned so far.

Mixer / audio interface for small modern home studios
podsky 25.11.2020
I bought it for my home studio, as a mixer/audio interface for my computer to use with VSTs, Ableton, digital piano, few synths and occasional guitar (no mic as of now). It seems to be very very well suited for such scenario.
However. this is not a simple 6 stereo input analog mixer - think about ammount and type of inputs and outputs you actually need before buying.

There are lot of reviews of it - so I will mention only few key features I missed/misunderstood before buyinh:
1. PC usb connection serves as an input (you can play stuff from PC through the mixer), and output to PC (you can record mixed signal on your PC e.g in your DAW). Works well with ASIO

2. fun thing: you can output to PC either:
- only 2 stereo channels CH1 and CH2 (the ones with XLR / TRS combo), but into 2 SEPARATE tracks of DAW (!)
- mix of all channels without PC signal
- mix of all channels with PC signal (loopback)

3. Effects be applied only to 2 channels - 1 and 2, and there are different ones for every channel - look into it (one is with compressor, one is with guitar amp which I did not test).

4. you have 4 analog audio inputs with volume control + usb input from PC with volume control + AUX volume input no control

5. small jack aux means you can easily connect your phone

6. I use it as a part of my home studio, but I believe would work extremely well for podcasting/streaming

Great budget device with a flexible set of features
eliasjuggle 05.10.2020
It works and sounds great:
As an audio interface: it works smooth on Linux for me with JACK. It has been a pleasure to work with Ardour (DAW), Zynaddsubfx (synthesizer), Hydrogen (drummachine) etc. The down side is that it needs their proprietary software to change effects, COMP/EQ. I managed to to install the software with wine, but couldn't get any sound out of it. Before I got it right, I realized that I could just use the DRY Channel feature and then apply effects with software (mainly Ardour's plugins and Guitarix). So... I haven't noticed any down sides at all in the end.

As a mixer: it has a bunch of ways to control and route stuff separately (gains, volumes, monitors, headphone, usb). The loopback feature is worth taking a deeper look at.

I really like the robust chassis, feels pretty solid. And the fact that it can be powered with a usb powerbank is amazing: it can be used just as mixer outside e.g.. The knobs turn really smooth, way too much for my taste: it feels like they will run away come up with the fingers... after 8 months of use they are still here though.

A solid multipurpose unit that does what it does very well. It's a good USB audio device and its capabilities as a mixer are fine. The number of inputs is a little on the low side, but for a multipurpose desktop unit, it does the job.

Build quality is top notch, the unit feels very solid. It's also very convenient that it can draw the power it needs from USB.

Installation on Linux is absurdly easy?just plug it in and it works. The DSP effects can only be configured from the proprietary Windows software that ships with the unit, sadly; but they're something of a gadget anyway.
