I brought this pick as I wanted to try something completely different when playing bass/guitar. The pick dose take a while to get used to as it is rather large in size (may not suit people with small hands/fingers), the pick is easy to grip but not the most comfortable. The one thing I really like about this pick is that when you get past the 12th fret it really articulates the sound with loads of clarity. The quality and durability of the pick seems good however, I have not used the pick many times and it is already showing small sighs of wear (good thing it has 3 sides).
I do think that with a pick like this the user will either love it or hate it, but for me I'm still deciding.
Thomann was great as usual quick postage with no hassle will be coming back.
I've used timber tones picks in the past, and especially like their standard shaped Buffalo Horn picks, which wear evenly like you'd expect a plastic pick to wear. These ones (and other dark horn picks I've tried) don't wear in the same way - the threads of the pick start to fray and you're left with something like a brush hitting your strings. It has worn quickly even played on flatwound strings. Having three points is useful here, but still it won't last too long for its cost. There is a bit of a squeaky, clacky sound as the pick hits the strings. which isn't pleasant, but also doesn't translate through the amp so is not a huge problem. Holding the pick had a small learning curve. There is a hole drilled in the centre which does allow you to hold the pick firmly, but has meant learning a new picking position after years of standard picks.
