The Thomann E-Guitar Gigbag Deluxe. This is a sturdy gig bag (20mm of heavy duty industrial padding) which should protect most guitars carrying them around. Its far better than those old leather type padded bags and much more than just a dust cover. Just don't throw it into the back of the car or hand it over at the check in desk for your flight! It would appear to be waterproof too, but don't let your drummer throw it and your guitar into the hotel pool.
The belts attached are also padded so you can carry your guitar comfortable for miles! Well, if you miss the last bus home.
There are three external pockets for all your picks, straps, sheet music, tuners, even a pedal or two as well as spare strings.
Internal dimensions are 112 x 40 x 8cm so you probably wont get your jumbo in there, I bought it for my electrics.
This guitar case is fantastic value for money, a quality product for not much cash that fits most electrics - SG, Tele, Strat, Jazzmaster, mustang, LesPaul, Flying V, although I'm not sure about more exotic shapes like explorer and firebird.
You won't regret buying it. Buy one. Buy two!. Buy three!! A nice little christmas or birthday gift.
I ordered this case to offer some extra protection to one of my guitars that didn't come with one.
It arrived in good time and was well packaged (along with some other stuff I ordered).
When I looked at it for the first time, two things struck me. First of all, I wasn't expecting such good quality and design. Secondly, the sheer size of the thing. It's massive! You could probably keep an odd shaped body guitar in one of these. I usually find that budget products, such as this, skimp a little on size. This is the opposite.
The quality is up there, but it's not as good as a high end Ritter case I have, but the Ritter case cost much, much more than this. I'm not going to use this for gigging or travelling, so I can't really report on that sort of treatment, but I will say that if you're planning to carry your guitar around with you very often, on public transport, busy streets, or what have you, you might want to hold out for a Ritter (et al) case. The big size could leave your guitar moving and shaking around inside. Not that this would lead to any scratches on your beloved, the inside is nice and soft and any harmful edges are well protected. It might not stand up to the sharp edges of a guitar bridge sliding around inside for very long. The padding is top notch and looks like it will take punishment and protect the contents. The pockets are large, useful and strong. The arm straps? I'm not so sure.
Buy this if you need to pop your guitar in something that will protect it whilst in storage. It is brilliant for that at such a low price.
Don't buy this if you plan for it to survive some prolonged and harsh abuse.
