When traveling through Germany last year, this is one of the guitars I had an opportunity to try at the Thomann store, and was very impressed. A short time later, I ordered one for delivery to North America. Unfortunately, it is almost unplayable as delivered.
First the pros: in appearance, this is a beautifully made instrument. No cosmetic flaws anywhere, very nice gloss finish and striking wood grain. The thin aspect of this guitar makes it very comfortable and light to hold. The materials look like pretty good quality, including the tuners. The pickup also seems to work pretty well.
Cons: there is a great deal of buzzing from particularly the open A string and other parts of the fretboard including the first, second and third frets of the G and B string. This not a good kind of buzz expected and desired in a flamenco guitar. I thought to adjust the truss rod a bit but saw that there isn't one. I measured the string height and it seemed to be about right, but perhaps on the low side. I checked the frets and they are not level, particularly around 10-12. I am not sure if this is the cause. The nut seems ok and the saddle might be too low, but I am not sure.
It is possible that I just received a bad one and that others will be ok. Sending it back to Thomann is expensive from where I am so I will likely take it to a local luthier to have a look.
