Great portable kit

With the right heads and the right tuning, this kit sounds way above its price point. The Snare is not great, but the Bass Drum and Toms are great. The shallow floor tom sounds better with double ply heads both top and bottom. It's great having the cymbal off the bass drum, and I used a cymbal stacker to increase the height of the arm. I bought some Gibraltar memory locks for the Bass drum spurs, and that makes set up loads easier too.
I've been using the kit on wedding gigs, and it has coped well with the Jazz, Soul, and Pop sets that I play.
My main more 'regular' sized kit is louder, but hey - let the mics do the work!
The bags are OK, but the 10" bag is a bit too big IMO.
Overall a good buy, and it's not so expensive you're worried too much on the road!

Great kit for small space and easy transportation

If you are limited with space, hitting the road alot and don't want to carry lots of stuff or heavy items. Also if you are new into drumming and want to practice on an acoustic drum set. This drum set is amazing. I use it as a practice kit at my place. I have very limited space. I applied remo mesh heads on the snare, toms and bass and they work great with this drum set.
I can't really judge the sound as I haven't really tested that with proper drum heads, however I can say that the build quality of the kit is great.
I took one star, since I was hoping that at some point i would be able to add more toms to the kit when i want, unfortunately you can't find toms of the same line to match the body.

Beautiful kit

This kit doesn't just look pretty - it also makes an amazing sound! The stock heads will work just fine if you tune them high enough - however I would consider getting a thicker snare head. The dimensions of the toms are great for jazz!
The extra stand on the bass drum doesn't really fit a cymbal where I'd like to go, but it works great for a cowbell!
