Sound Quality: Being a solid spruce top guitar, this one takes a little time to open up. When it does, it sounds wonderful deep with a reasonably quick attack and the kind of resonance you would expect for the price, but it's not very loud. I play jazz on this guitar. Chord solos, and lines with a thumb and two finger right-hand technique. If I play rest strokes it really shows its strength. Fantastic classical tone, though still a little on the quiet side.
Reliability Durability: The finish on the top of this guitar is very thin. It actually takes on the shape of the grain. I'm sure this helps the guitar keep its resonance. The hardware feels very sturdy. The strap button on the neck side is slightly canted downward --A nice touch. This is my performance guitar, and I trust it.
so far the best one I ever owned, including another Takamine

The tone is so sweet and beautiful But does not have a big volume. She must be played in a percussive way,not being "plucked"...And then ,one must be prepared to invest in an insanely expensive pickup like Schertler DYN-G-P48......... why ? make a guess..The playability is sooo good, almost beyond imagination.....crossover or hybrid means smaller and curves fretboard
