String SetSIT stands for Stay In Tune and this is exactly what the US company founded in 1975 (one of the few with its own production) has set its sights on the flag. The SIT strings are given an above-average tuning stability by a special chemical substance into which the ball ends are dipped. Among the best-known SIT users are Richard Z. Kruspe, Paul Landers (both Rammstein), My Chemical Romance, POD, Mia, Beatsteaks, God Forbid, Jack Bruce, Donots, In Extremo, Madsen, Atrocity and Overkill call.
At first I bought this strings just to give them a try (I did not have high expectations quality-wise, after all they are significantly cheaper than competition like Daddario or Ernie ball). But I was very nicely surprised. It seems they are more corrosion resistant than Daddarios and they are not prone to breakage (like the Elixirs were). They even make me think they really stay in tune better (at first I believed this "Stay In Tune" thing is just a gimmick). Sound-wise it is difficult to compare or describe them, but I am very happy with the sound that they produce. I would say they are balanced in the higher frequency spectrum and well-defined in lower and they retain good sound after long use. To sum things up: To me they sound good, it seems they are durable and they are cheap. Recommended.
I got these to try out for Dflat standard tuning. I like that the b and g string are slightly heavier than the ernie ball 11s. Great strings, I'll be using these from now on for these types of tuning, they have a nice sound and there's something about them that seems to ring out the pitch of the note truer than other strings I've tried. Particularly on the lower strings, they don't seem to wander in and out of tune when I over-hit low notes. Nice strings for an aggressive player
