Quite practical to use, sound ok enough considering the price but the power is week and the ground buzz of this pickup is far too loud to use a preamp for more volume/power. I used it for a while but got tired of the buzz. Now it´s far too late to return it.
I might use thispickup every now and then when playing in a noisy pub where nobody will notice the buzz but otherwise I can´t really use it.
Bought this one because I used to have a similar Shadow years back but the buzz was not there then.

Bad sound

The sound is ok but there is alot of buzz from it. The wire is very flimsy and if it bends to much it becomes like an iphone charger you need to have it in a certain position to get any use of it. In total its ok for the price but if you need one for long term and gigging then this isnt the one for you. But if your a beginner playing your accoustic through a pedal its not bad.

I carry this unit as a spare. It doesn't require batteries and the lead is long enough for most occasions. I've lent it to other players at open mic nights so its been used on a variety of guitars from OMs to Dreadnoughts both 6 and 12 string. Never any complaints about the sound quality.

bon son mais sensible aux parasites

Acheté dans le but de transformer une lag primavera en électro acoustique à moindre coût. Je l'ai monté en permanent, soudé avec un simple potard de volume 500K et un jack attache-courroie.
les + :
- son très naturel avec tous les canaux clairs, très blues avec ceux un peu saturés (AC-15, AC-30) de mon AD30VT. Le son de ma guitare est respecté.
- le prix,
- il est beau et s'intègre très bien à la guitare,

les - :
- simple bobinage, il capte les parasites à des mètres à la ronde. Je l'utilise systématiquement avec un noise gate (Boss NS-2).
- niveau de sortie assez faible, mais comme point de comparaison je n'ai que ma LP Studio,
- il était trop grand pour la rosace de ma lag, j'ai du en scier un bout pour qu'il rentre. Une fois en place il bouge facilement, il y a du jeu,
- fragile : ma guitare est tombée de son pied, elle n'a rien eu mais le coffret bois du micro s'est cassé. J'ai pu le recoller, mais bon pour une pièce massive c'est décevant.

En résumé : pour jouer sur ampli, en live, il est super, pour une prise directe en enregistrement, à oublier tant le niveau est faible et le bruit important. Je suis assez content pour le prix, et parce que ça ne me dérange pas de bricoler, mais il y a surement beaucoup mieux et je suis quand même déçu qu'il se soit cassé aussi facilement.
