Seymour Duncan TB-16 The 59 Custom BK

After installing this pickup, I was happily surprised to hear the sound! My guitar now sounds much more mature, more 'real'.

This pickup has great response to (variations in) pick attack and is very dynamic. It can sound sweet, but it starts to growl when you hit the strings harder; perfect for the music I want to play!

My higher strings used to sound a bit thin, but with this pickup, my sound finally has the 'body' it needs, throughout the whole fretboard. Rich tone, full of character!

This is in my opinion a great pickup for (classic) rock and blues, but perhaps not the first choice for tight/fast metal music and shredding.
I've installed it in a mahogany body guitar with a maple cap and for me it's perfect!

J'ai monté ce micro en position chevalet sur une Vigier Excalibur Ultra.
Pour rappel le corps de cette guitare est en aulne avec une table en érable et pour ma guitare le manche et sa touche sont en érable également ainsi qu'un renfort en carbone.
D'origine cette guitare a un EMG 85 prêt du chevalet.
Je l'ai remplacé dans un premier temps par un TB-4 puis par un Suhr DA et enfin par le TB-16.
Celui-ci sonne le plus plein avec des médiums plutôt présents, le son est précis et les aigus présents mais assez doux.
La dynamique est excellente. On retrouve bien le grain des Duncan mais il est assez différent du TB-4 , que j'aime bien mais qui, sur cette guitare est un peu trop aigu pour moi.
Le TB-16 est un micro très chantant, pour le moment je le trouve parfait pour les solos.
Seule critique je l'aurai aimé un chouilla plus chaud mais là on pinaille ...
Pour le blues/rock, le hard rock, la fusion ce micro est parfait avec cette guitare. Pour le Metal il fait la farce aussi mais comme il à pas mal de medium il faut travailler l'ampli.
Bref c'est un bon micro qui gagne à être connu
