I really wanted a 30 inch scale guitar to tune with baritone strings to A-A or B-B I have 2 Hellcats already, but wanted a thinner-guitar-like neck, and pickups that could do a much more crispy single coil sound, to enable finder-style playing (acoustic-style really). Since this guitar has convertible pickups (I had owned 89s already), I knew it should do it.
The quality is around USA Fender standard series, but with prettier finish and better pickups. The neck is very usable incredibly high up
There was a small defect, which was easily resolved, thanks to Thomann and my luthier - one tailstop post was not fully inserted.
The pickup knobs are the opposite way round to usual, which is a little confusing, this is intentional, see the FAQ from Schecter: "The Neck and Bridge pickup volume controls on my guitar seem backwards. Why is this? Production models starting from 2010 have a new control layout. The Bridge volume is located closest to the pickups. The Neck volume is located in the middle. (If you own a model from 2009 or older, the volume controls may be wired opposite this!) The majority of guitar players use their Bridge pickup for both Rhythm and Lead, so we switched to this layout so that players have easier access to the Bridge volume control. "
