A very good chin rest
Chin rests are very personal, so I'm reviewing my experience. The material of this chin rest is quite comfortable: I like ebony. This Teka shape is probably high, compared with other shapes, and that’s why I find it good, because I have a medium-sized neck. With this shape I have been able to feel comfortable even without shoulder rest. I think this is quite important to say, because the role of the chin rest is to place correctly the violin even with no shoulder rest. I like this Teka shape because you can mount it where you want on the left side of the violin, since it is not very large.
So, making a summary
PROS
- Shape good for posture, especially if you have not a short neck
- It can be mounted where you want
CONS
- none
In conclusion, I like this chin rest and I mounted it on my main violin. Maybe I would have preferred it a bit larger (like a Schmidt for example), but this really seems to work food for me.

Great chinrest
I have a fairly long neck and needed to replace my standard violin chinrest for more comfort. It has definitely made me look less like a turtle all the way stretching out with my neck.
The material feels really nice as well, but for me I might need to buy an even higher chinrest. For now it has been a great improvement.
