After buying this Rack Bag 3 years ago I think I am able to give a fair review on its pros and cons.
The Rockbag Rack Bag is made of a hardwood shell with rack rails which have free moving nuts so you can position your equipment however you like. The outer case is made of extremely tough material, which so far has been shower-proof (type of rainfall not actual shower), and has not shown any sign of tearing whatsoever. I have taken the bag out of my home on many occasions and it has stayed strong throughout and has protected my equipment perfectly.
One thing I need to say is that after 3 years of use I think the hardwood shell is starting to give out on me. It seems that the edges on the shell are starting to separate so with pressure it turns from a rectangle to a parallelogram. But its not to say that the Bag has held out plenty until now.
Overall I would recommend getting this if you were either going to keep it stationary in your home, or only occasionally taking it out.
I've dragged this poor little fellow in hundreds of gigs for a couple years now, and it's still in a mint condition.
It's sturdy and durable, and all the straps and handles are reliable and placed perfectly. By itself, it's not too heavy either. And it's relatively cheap, so what not to like? I seriously can't say anything bad about it...
