This pretty much the only suitable gig bag for the Warwick Star Bass, so if you have one of these basses and need a bag to carry it on you back then AFAIK this is your main option.
As far as protecting the bass goes, it's about as good as any other mid-riced gig bag. That means it's adequate but not brilliant. For a hollowbody bass I'd be happier if it had a slightly higher level of padding and solidness to it.
The thing that really lets this bag down is the straps. They are poorly designed. The length adjustments don't have enough "grip" to them and are constantly slipping making the bag less than comfortable to wear if you don't keep adjusting them to your desired length. Also the pads at the top of the straps designed to stop the metal fastening from digging into your shoulders are not long enough for the velcro part to connect properly meaning that they are constantly coming away and leaving the metal fastening exposed. I've found it almost impossible to get this bag on my back without at least one of the velcro parts coming detached. The result is not at all comfortable. This part needs a redesign. Simply making the flaps a couple of cm longer would sort this problem out completely so it puzzles me why Warwick haven't addressed it.
Overall. Since it's the only suitable gig bag for the bass in question, if you have a Warwick Star Bass and need to be able to carry it on your back then this is the bag you need. However given the nature of the bass it has been designed for and the poor quality of the straps, I would seriously look at any alternatives that may appear in the future before buying one.
