Excellent Snake

I purchased this snake to act as a short run for my S16 stagebox, and it works perfectly. Done upwards of 100 gigs with it and I've had no problems.

Would certainly recommend this product.

Well worth the extra cost

Buy a cheap loom and sooner or later you begin to question the wisdom of your lack of investment in purchasing a better quality item. Within a short space of time the loom refuses to coil neatly and you have a less than good feeling that the XLRs don't fit snugly into the required stage box or desk inputs.

This snake's build quality gives you instant peace of mind - it coils perfectly & neat every time and with the Neutrik tails, there is a reassuring "click" each time you connect them :)

The individual wires are clearly marked in large font with channel numbers (you could then number the individual Neutrik ends to further speed up set up).

Although a premium priced loom, a satisfyingly good quality bit of kit.

Good quality multicore cable

It is a very sturdy multicore cable with inner cables that look quite thin at first sight but the cable quality looks very high so I have good trust that this cable will last long.

As a result of the 8 thin inner cables to outer cable is also modest in diameter and a 10 meter cable loom is this way nice and compac and fits great in the housing of a 2 units 19" racks case were one unit is used with a 8-fold DI unit.

Schafft Ordnung auf der Bühne

Das PRO SNAKE Multicore ist sehr gut verarbeitet (Neutrik-Stecker) und durch die beidseitigen Stecker (XLRm/w) sehr flexibel einsetzbar. Z.B. ist das direkte Einstecken in meine DI-Box ohne zustätzliches Patchkabel möglich.

Dadurch entsteht viel Ordnung auf der Bühne (vor allem rund um das Mischpult), weil am Anfang des Multicores inmitten der Musiker alle Mikrokabel und Klinkenkabel (in der DI-Box) zusammenlaufen ohne dass man diese quer durch den Aktionsbereich bis zum Mixer ziehen muss. Das übernimmt dann das Multicore und wird schließlich am Mixer wieder eingestöpselt.

So wird z.B. vermieden, dass man ständig unbequem auf Kabeln herumtritt und diese evtl. dabei beschädigt.

Für den letzten Live-Mix-Auftrag mit mehr als 8 Kanälen gleichzeitig habe ich mir noch ein zweites Multicore besorgt, das ich dann für die Kanäle 9-14 verwende und an den beiden verbleibenden Leitungen hab ich Stecker und Buchsen umgelötet (vertauscht), um gleich noch einen Rückweg zur Bühne für das Stereo-Signal zu bekommen. Die Einzelkabel sind dick und lang genug, um sie selber problemlos umlöten zu können.

Zu Haltbarkeit kann ich berichten, dass ich das Multicore nun seit über 4 Jahren besitze und es im Schnitt 1x pro Monat verwende (normalerweise keine Rockband mit herumspringenden Musikern!). Dabei wird eher schonend damit umgegangen. Das Multicore dankt es mir bisher und hat noch keinerlei Schäden erlitten. Ich bin sehr zufrieden damit. Bei einem Open-Air ist das Multicore auch schon 10 Stunden im Regen und Dreck gelegen (natürlich nur das Kabel, nicht die Stecker und Buchsen!). Auch dieses hat das Multicore schadlos überstanden.
