I honestly think getting myself an Octobus was one of the best choices I ever made concerning my pedalboard. The 'pedal' is of solid workmanship and leaves the impression that someone put some thought into the design. I can't share complaints about a klicking noise while changing channels, although I mostly switch from highgain to highgain ;) The signal quality is flawless, the programming easy. And don't know what else I could ask for.
I only have to things to complain about. Having pretty big feet hitting the right knob can become a challenge. But hitting the right button on a single pedal isn't that easy either. Secondly the metal 'plate' alongside the in-/outputs occupies a lot of space on the pedalboard as it makes the use of angled jacks impossible.
Small enough to go on a custom pedal board, large enough to make switching easy with size 11 feet. Solidly built, clear display so you know where you are and simple controls which make for uncomplicated programming. I connected seven devices and was up and running in minutes, no buzzes, clicks or loss of tone, infact I would say the overall sound was better. Lacks the bells and whistles of its more expensive brethren, you get what it says on the tin and it does the job perfectly. For anyone suffering from a bad case of pedal dancing confusion the Palmer Octobus is a godsend
