This keyboard is the perfect choice for a laptop setup! Because this keyboard is small, has 8 knobs to mess around with (I like to use the knobs to control FXs and cutoff etc.) and 16 drum pads to create beats with and the price isn't too bad for budget producers either!
This keyboard is super easy to set up, just plug it into your usb port.
The only flaws with this product are the knobs that are too loose (at least for me), but they are usable. The second flaw is the keys. They are kinda springy-ish so it takes a while to get used to them. Also the velocity is kinda crazy and you have to hit super hard to get a decent sound, but if you're using a DAW (Which you probably will be using anyways with this keyboard) you can just go to the settings and turn the velocity setting off, so it doesn't matter how hard you press you will always get a good volume.
This keyboard is also really cool looking, nice matte-ish black with orange bottom.
Conclusion: Really solid keyboard to take with you to the school, park... Or if you just want a small keyboard that wont steal all the space on your desk this is a solid pick. Has enough knobs and pads to mess around with and feels nice and sturdy.
i bought this because i use ableton, and i am aware of some good products novation make for ableton. i wanted an easier way of laying down midi tracks and launching live samples and this little yoke is perfect for that. not too many features, velocity sensitive keys ,octave modulator and sample launch keys. i mainly use midi mapping for sample launching. it is a little cheaply built, made of plastic, but for my little home studio i didnt need any other feature. good for the price but i kinda wish i spent a little more on a better built midi keyboard.
