Millenium hardware keeps impressing me with quality and reliability! In my case, instead of occupying half the stage with cymbal stands, i combine the Millenium boom arm with multi clamp, attaching it to the Millenium boom cymbal stands! For my many effect cymbals, it?s a great solution, when in need of custom set-ups and arrangements.
Pros; + good metal composite, good locks + pretty leight, compact for transporting + good length! I still experiment with set-ups, thus sometimes trying new cymbal placements and arangements around the set, so this boom arm allows for good distances and a good reach. + easy to adjust and align.
Cons; - be gentle with the main lock, do not over-tighten or overload, as the whole balance of the thing relies on it! If it comes loose and wobbly, expect a loud crash of cymbals on top of your toms when throwing a heavier strike on the cymbal. - be careful not to tighten the locks on the main bar when mouting it into a multi clamp (as i do) or a tom holder stand (as i do); if dents appear, the bar will bend and become useless.
Summary; So far ? a perfect solution for experimenting with set-ups, weight and size alows for easy transporting on tours and live gigs, solid and reliable even for bigger cymbals (my 20? ride sits perfectly on it and does not wobble.
I really love this cymbal boom arm from Millenium. It is very stable, strong and easy to work with. The only thing that i find disturbing is that, it has only one screw to operate with whole arm (angle and length), but still when you get used to it, it's not such of a deal. At the whole, it's a pretty good arm.
