I find the Martin studio professional strings to be a great quality set of strings at a really competitive price. I'm a professional musician and gig three to four times a week. I need a string that I can rely on and the Martin strings have never let me down. I used to use the standard Martin strings but changed to the SP's a while ago and I definitely think that they are worth the extra money. They hold their tone longer and rarely break despite the fact that I use heavy gauge plectrums. I have used other brand strings and would always go with Martins even over Exlir's as the extra money for them just doesn't justify it with the quality and durability.
Finding strings that are bright and last long are the pursuit of most guitarists, these strings are a decent attempt at that sweet spot from a week after you fit them until they start to tire and sound lifeless. I use these on a Martin DX1, the harmonics ring nice and shiny, I'm still convinced that changing cheaper strings like these more regularly is still better value than trying to breath life into dearer ones that only deliver a decent sound for a short period more.
As long as you dry them off after gigging front and back.
