Best small cab on the market

I was looking for a small, light and portable bass cab but of great sound quality. Markbass became my choice and it's perfect for its job. This small dude is pretty loud for its size and very clear and punchy. Tweeter is a great feature here, adds nice higs. It pairs very very well with my P-bass, lots of sweet mids. It's a great choice if you have to carry your own gear to the concerts/rehearsals. I was tired of dragging my 2x10 SWR with me. Of course you won't get lots of deep bass from it, if you're looking for something like that, but Markbass New York 121 just isn't built for such a job. It had to be portable, clear and punchy and it does it perfectly. Totally recommend this cab.

This cab saved my back

Excellent cabinet for the bass player who's looking for power, punch and definition in a small, light weight package.

I know, there aren't many things as divisive as bass amp or cab brands and their associated sound. Lots of bass players will swear to never use anything other than Ampeg or Glockenklang. Just as many will probably swear to steer clear of Markbass cabs, probably many people in the middle of that diagram. However: if you cherish your spine, and if you don't want to depend on four people carrying your bass amp to the van at the end of rehearsal, this Markbass cab could be for you.

It's light weight, really compact, and despite all that it packs a punch. I mean, this thing can take some power and is LOUD. Bear in mind it's only a 1x12! I was impressed. In my search for compactness and portability I made a journey through Markbass's catalog: starting with a 4x8, via 2x12 ending up with this 1x12. Oh, and there's been a pair of Aguilar 1x12's as well. Talk about back breakers..

In my experience, honest to god, this is the clearest, best sounding cab I've owned to date. Of course, it will always remain a matter of taste but I really like the middy (some say "honky") sound of Markbass. Just goes great with my 57 reissue P-bass.

Like with most products I've bought from Thomann to date: 10/10 would recommend!

Bought this cab to go with my Markbass CMD121P Combo. Build quality is very good with a nice sturdy handle right on top of the unit. It is very light and will easily fit in the back of even the smallest cars.
The combo sounds really good on it's own. Plenty bottom end and nice clean highs. Adding the cab makes quite a difference. It takes the combo from 300 watts at 8 ohms to 500 watts at 4 ohms. It has an adjustable output for the tweeter which is a nice touch too.
Overall it's a very good stand alone cab or addition to any Markbass set up.

Solid and reliable

Cant do without at any of my gigs. Solid build, crispy sound and very light. it's a beast used with the CMD 121P. Would recommend to any bassist.
