So with my Mono gig bag in one hand and lightweight Barefaced cab in the other I?m all set to go.
Sounded very nice at home, but I was expecting a more challenging test at rehearsal.
We have a LOUD guitar player and TWO keyboard players (With a B3, Nords and a lot going on down below) in our band, but to my excitement the Nano cut through and put me in the mix very firmly and with a big sound. I have recently played a Mesa Subway D800, so the band laughed when I brought an even smaller amp....but when we started playing they were all smiles :-))
For practice the Nano is all you need. For small gigs it will be perfect; for larger gigs I will just use the xlr to the PA for more range, or bring an extra cab.
It has all the basic tone controls you need: Bass, 2 x mid and treble, so you can adjust if there is a problem in the room or you want to twist the sound of your bass. Set flat it really lets your true bass sound through.
I usually set my amps flat and shape my tone on the bass preamp anyway, so the simpler the amp, the better!
No headphone output - no problem for me. Never used that. If I want to do some playalong or quiet practice, I connect my bass to my mac/garageband and can of course use my headphones there.
But there is an efx loop so I can put in some good stomp boxes!
