So this pedal is by far the best chorus I have used. It allows me to fatten up the sound of my acoustic in a subtle way without colouring the tone. In fact it can be set so subtle that it's only noticable when you turn it off.
I play a Taylor 510ce through an AER Compact 60 amp. My style is a diverse range of rock, blues, folk, indie and pop within a church worship band.
I use the chorus to slightly fatten my tone and allow the acoustic to sit well in the mix. (It's helpful for when others may not be exactly 100% at concert pitch!)
I also use a TC Electronics Hall of Fame reverb pedal for ambiance and space.
However, if you want something more it can also give pretty lush, classic 80's chorus. However, in my opinion if you're looking for a crazy chorus then you'd be better to look elsewhere. This gives subtle, a little colour and also the impression of more than one guitar playing. The blend control is awesome!
Looks are classy and the feel is sturdy & really well made.
I had a CE2 back in the 80s and this is not in that ballpark.
It's in another ballpark.... It's a completely different type of pedal as initially its quite difficult to get it to do much, then you notice the 'Blend' knob and that is something the CE2 didn't have. So turning that up sets the balance between how much signal goes through the pedal and how much is unaffected etc - 0% to 100%.
So that's pretty cool. I use it after my distortion / fuzz to take out edges.
