Well-built high-quality splitter - but a bit expensive
I purchased this for my brother, so these are essentially his thoughts on the device:
"After I got the PETERSON SONUUS-I2M, (a guitar-to-midi converter), I realized that I wanted to use both the converter AND my dedicated USB soundcard and it's guitar processors - won't tell you the name but it rhymes with Fine 6 :).
So needed something small that would split the signal into two equal paths. After long research, and many dead-end streets full of selector switches etc., I decided to go for Lehle P-Split II.
By the way, just to make sure, I emailed the company asking if the unit would work for my intended use - they replied very fast with a detailed answer - kudos to them.
The unit does exactly what it says on the tin - it splits the guitar signal.
I use it with a 7-string with active EMG pickups and I have to say that it just works. It does not introduce any hum or buzz and I can easily feed two signal ins simultaneously.
It's built like a tank and requires NO battery to operate.
I still think it's a tad too expensive for what it does, though. Hence the four star rating only."
Lehle P-Split is a superior Signal splitting device. you split up your guitar or bass signal into two outputs and both outputs are isolated from each other so you dont have any grounding issues, buzz, fizz , hum or noise! often in such situation where you want to split your signal into 2 outputs noise can be an issue, but not with the Lehle P-Split. also the signal quality will be very high, just as the original signal, and its a passive device, so it doesnt add something to your sound. It also has an Phase Flip-Switch so that you can invert the phase on the 2nd ouput, makes sense if you run an multiamp setup and the 2nd amp invertes the phase, you can react with the Lehle P-Split. The housing is rock solid and will last a rough tour with your band. made in germany, and most likely will last a lifetime, i have mine since many years now and it still works as great as on the first day
