I've got these ukulele about to month ago and played it every day. I really like this instrument and it's absolutely playable and no children toy or something like that. Sure, it might not sound like a ukulele which is three or four times more expensive, but the sound is quite nice. You can make real music with it and also it looks nice. Different colors and prints are available.
Quality: No scratches or bumps. The parts are glued together without a gap. The fingerboard is made form a slightly other plastic and its surface is rougher then the rest of the ukulele. After two months one little spot (where you play the C chord) is getting a bit shiny and worn off. But it's just the fretboard, not the frets itself.
The frets are also made of plastic and part of the fretboard. They are not replaceable, but i think that's okay for a cheap instrument.
My concern was, that the neck isn't holding the tension of the strings. But that isn't a problem at all. The uke is very solid.
If you have played and tuned the instrument for a few days, it will hold its tune well. You can use a screwdriver and tighten the screws on the tuning keys. One of mine was a bit loose. Since I have done this the strings are holding there tune longer. The tuning keys are not the best quality ones, but they are doing their job.
Sound and Strings: I've played the instrument in G-C-A-E tuning and in F#-B-Eb-Ab tuning. The strings are okay, but i think the sound might get better, if you buy some slightly better strings. The Ukulele is quite loud. No buzzes even if you play harder. The sound is a bit one dimensional, but the chords sound clear and harmonic.
Playing: The ukulele is light and good balanced. I play it without a strap and its now problem for me to hold it in playing position. Since the plastic is black, it is a bit sensitive for temperature changes trough direct sunlight. But it's not a big deal.
I really like this uke. I'm very satisfied with this instrument for this price. It's even cheaper as some toy guitars. I think I will get another one in a different color in the future. You just can't have enough ukes, can you?
