We used a few of these stands at a radio station, and not only do they look great, but they work quite well. It handles a Shure SM7B without any issues, and the fact that it has no springs is a bonus. A good buy, especially for the price. Unless a client requests otherwise, this is likely to be our first option for desk arms.
I'm using this in a slightly odd manner in that its attached to a speaker stand for live use so it allows me to play guitar or piano with a long mike stand that is easily set for odd positions.
The arm comes with a high quality cable built in which is excellent though replacement would need total disassembly of the arm. This internal structure is very neat and the arm looks very expensive and tidy. There are metal bands to alter as opposed to springs so its silent too.
The clamp is interesting but not the best it does require a lot of tightening and can still slip occasionally. Unfortunately the arm itself dislikes being moved. Once set unless you re tighten each joint the arm will sag and the mic will droop. It's still a very classy looking piece of kit and it will no doubt last forever but if you need to reset your mic position every few seconds it may not work for you.
