Thanks to the groove in the pick, it lays nicely between the fingers without slipping.
The sound produced when hitting the strings is quite mellow, without any high pitched clicking.
It is non flexible and very light.
What I don't like is that it wears down quite quickly, I've ground one down on my bass within two band practices and another one within two week on the guitar.

Ebony Plectrum
I would avoid purchasing one of these. The grip of the plec is not comfortable (for my fingers anyway). Also, I found that the shape of the plec needed to be modified to avoid it 'catching' on the higher strings (it's very sharp at the peak). The material is very strong, maybe a little too strong for my strumming. There are many wooden plectrums on the market today and I'm happy that I tried the higher quality ones before trying this one as I think it would have turned me off the idea completely. My advice to anybody wanting to try wooden plectrums is to spend a little more and buy the correct one.

The creamy wood dream
There is a reason why so many picked up this pick (every pun intended), and the reason is that this unconventional little pick works. I never thought it would be anything special but boy it is. Buy it, play it, if you like the wood picks.

Good for the novelty
Some people might like this, it's not for me. I tried it a couple of times on acoustic and electric, it's not my bag. The tip started to show signs of wear pretty quickly, too.
Also, it's pretty thick. This isn't an issue for me, I generally use 4.1 mm V-Picks, which I love, and which are actually thicker.

Compared to the Dunlop Max Grip Jazz III
I haven't owned a lot of picks, but i can say that this one was simply okey.
What makes me say that, is because i think the Dunlop Max Grip Jazz III is much better. I like the grip in the Jazz III a lot more.
Also what i didn't like is that the sound it makes from touching the strings is much more noticeable than any other pick i had.

Too thick for me
Hi,
I ordered this pick for my bass-playing, I really wanted to have a special one. And I like unique stuff made of wood.
Unfortunately it's to thick for (at least my) bass-playing. Gonna give it to my guitarist-playing friend!
