Guitar was sent with setup a bit off, yet easy to correct as the instrument responded good to setting it up again. Holds tuning good, can achieve low action with no fret buzz. Pickups are great. Easy to play fast solos and tight rhythms.
So we go to the finish. This is nowhere near the presented on the photos up there. I've got guitar with glue and tool marks near nut, highest frets and bridge. Also there was DENT IN THE FRETBOARD. White paint job and headstock was good but binding was a bit off and had roughly painted edges. I wouldn't even put this as b-stock. Do I expect too much? I will say no. Even for that low price instrument should be really in a better condition and quality. Like man, why would you make it with sloppines that you can see on the first look. As you would say it was almost intentional because not just one part was bad.
Still... maybe I just got bad one. Overall beautiful white body with maple fretboard, such nice shape and great playability makes me returning current but trying with another one from that kind. Hope it will be better.
Pros: - very comfortable to play - good performance - great pickups and sound - easy to setup, responsive to changes but stays in tune - you can really get a grip of neck-through resonating Cons: - very poorly made finish that makes a NO if you care too much about aesthetics - tool and glue marks here and there
Ok, so once I got the guitar home, I first noticed a lot of glue around the nut, took me a while to clean that off. After that I noticed the tone knob was I little out of place and was scratching off the paint of the guitar while being turned. The next thing was the bridge pick up, which was tilted towards the neck and really affected the tone of the low string - not to my liking. There were also some black spots on the frets that I had to clean off.
The intonation of the guitar was way off and the strings were set too low. But that's how it is with new guitars I guess. - The guitar tech took care of everything.
The guitar plays good now, the nazgul pickup sounds good. It took some time to get used to it. I also like the lightness of it. Overall it's a nice guitar.
For everyone that's buying this guitar, know this: You are not getting any more or any less than what you're paying for.
PS: The maple neck goes great with the white body.
