Being a Dave Mustaine fanboy that I was since my childhood, I always wanted a king V, I found them incredibly cool and my father would play the KV2. And now, a decade later I bought a King V, which to be honest, is one of the greatest guitars that I've played in my life, it looks magnificent, it sounds even better, it's incredibly comfortable to play, and overall it's an awesome guitar. However, it does have some quality issues, the frets are a little dull, and for whatever reason, on the back of the guitar (where you would use the screws to make the Floyd Rose be aligned straight to the guitar), those screws are insanely hard to turn, I needed to borrow my neighbours electric screwdriver because I used 10 screwdrivers and couldn't make the screws move one bit, so be warned about that.
you get a lot out of this guitar for its price point, the active pickups sound great with the technical maple and basswood combination, the neck through construction makes the guitar very easy to play and very solid. a great v, and great guitar in general, for both rock and metal
