I own this guitar for almost 2 years now, so this review will cover all the things that may not be obvious "out of the box". Let's go!
Pros: -Very lighweight. -Comfortable neck (thin, great high fret access, smooth finish). -It's possible to get great tones from stock pickups. They are not high output, but with "clean boost" they'll sound pretty good. -Default pickup wiring is also very nice, I use 4 out of 5 pickup selector positions every day to get all kinds of tones. -Even in sigle coil modes pickups don't produce much noise. -Gorgeous look. -Includes good case and tools.
Cons: -Basswood body is easily chipped. -Stock nut is plastic. -Even after I swapped nut for Graph Tech one + installed locking tuners, it still can go out of tune quite drastically every few days. -Frets needs to be polished every string change, otherwise they will tarnish pretty easily. -Ground wire isn't soldered to the bridge, it just clamped by it, so I had to detach bridge once, when ground wire pulled itself into guitar body. Easy fix, though. -Finish/fretwork isn't really top-notch out of the box, but good enough. -Bridge saddle screws need to be tightened every once in a while. -Hardware finish comes off after a while (to a regular chrome base).
As you can see, this guitar might require some work to it, but I absolutely love to play it. I'd recommend to get one if you're on tight budget and know your way around minor guitar maintenance / upgrades, or looking for a "workhorse": it will be a joy to play. Otherwise, you might be better off to look for something else.
