This flanger is very good for both ends of the spectrum, from extreme to subtly and doesn't loose any tone when is in use. I do love the sound of the pedal and use it often in live situations. The other feature of this pedal is the Dive bomb function. This creates a sound much like a siren and at times it can be far too loud and unusable in a song(unless you're Paul Gilbert) however I have found that I can use it for transitions between songs when playing live. Its an unexpected noise from a rock three piece that can grab the audiences attention.
The construction of the pedal is solid, it doesn't look like stomping on it a few thousand times will cause any damage to it.
On the other hand the pedal is HUGE and it takes up a lot of pedalboard real estate.
All round the pedal does sound good and has cool functions but it does have its faults.
Excellent flanger for use with my guitars. Easy to use in Taxi mode, and nice little booklet of Paul Gilbert's various settings. Alas, the Take Off Mode is useless, as I can see no way of controlling the volume, and toggling it in produces an enormous increase in volume. Why didn't Ibanez provide volume control for this feature, so that the volume could be equalised with that in the Taxi mode?
